Who, What ,When ,Why and How?
The National Plant & Equipment Register (TER). Operates the UK database of owned and stolen plant and equipment and works with the police to identify and recover stolen items on behalf of owners, principally insurers. More than 1,600 items valued at over £10M recovered to date. This section will cover who, what, when, why, where and how of equipment theft, and TER's services for the police and insurers, with points for both underwriters and claims staff.
Loss Management Group (LMG) validates household jewellery claims on behalf of insurers. This section will cover the jewellery claims process as was, and how the LMG model assists insurers to settle claims through the provision of vouchers or replacement or home visits.
The Art Loss Register (ALR) is a global database of stolen art and antiquities. The company, staffed by art historians, checks all the major auctions' sales catalogues for stolen art and works with the police and international law enforcement agencies to identify and trace the owners of stolen art. The ALR also researches the provenance of works of art that were looted in the Second World War. This section will cover the who, what, when, why, where and how of art theft and some points for underwriters and claims staff.
This lecture will be relevant to all those working in a Claims or Underwriting, Commercial and Retail Brokers, including those dealing with High-Networth.
