5. IIM Jubilee Prize Fund and Prize Sponsorships
The insurance Institute of Manchester Jubilee Prize Fund was set up in 1973 as a means of recognising excellence in examination performance among candidates at the Mnachester examination centre.
Prizes are awarded annually for examination performance in the April and October sessions.
The Fund is maintained by some underlying investment income but in the main through the generosity of insurance organisations in the Manchester market, who financially sponsor various prizes.
Sponsoring a prize is an excellent public relations tool and the Institute makes every effort to publicise the generosity of sponsoring organisations.
Sponsorship of a prize can be for any amount, for any period, and for any qualification completion or subject.
The prizes are presented at an event in the city centre, at which sponsors are invited to present their prize to the winner.
If any organisation is interested in sponsoring a prize please contact Tom Lord in the Institute office (0161 212 1391).
Our thanks go to the following organisations who are our current prize sponsors:
Insurance Institute of Manchester
AXA
Norwich Union
Liability Society
Allianz
Insurance Training Partnership6. Insurance Faculties
In 2004 the CII launched the Faculties as part of the strategy to make the Institute more market facing. Each Faculty is a centre of excellence and provides a forum for all those engaged in certain market sectors within insurance and financial services.
Details of the various Faculties can be found on the CII website at www.cii.co.uk
