IIM Jubilee Prize Fund, and Prize Sponsorships

The Insurance Institute of Manchester Jubilee Prize Fund was set up in the 1930's as a means of recognising excellence in examination performance among candidates at the Manchester examination centre.

Currently twelve prizes are awarded annually for examination performance in the April and October examination sessions.

PRIZE WINNERS 2007

1.      Best performance in completing the Diploma in Insurance – Mr B Jackson.

2.      Best performance in completing the Advanced Diploma in Insurance - Mrs S Cook

3.      Best first attempt at the Advanced Diploma - Miss A Walkin

4.      Youngest new ACII qualifying in 2007 - Miss R E Lloyd

5.      Best performance in subject 755 Liability Insurance - Miss K M Jackson  

6.      Best performance in subject 745 Property Insurance - Mr M G Brown

7.      Best performance in subject 820 Claims Management - Miss H Milton

8.      Best performance in subject 930 Insurance Broking - Mr A D McWilliams

The Fund is maintained by some underlying investment income but in the main through the generosity of insurance organisations in the Manchester market who financially sponsor the various prizes.

Sponsoring a prize is an excellent public relations tool and the Institute makes every effort to publicise the generosity of sponsoring organisations.

Sponsorship of a prize can be for any amount and for any number of years.

The prizes are presented annually at a presentation evening at a city centre venue, at  which sponsors are invited to present their particular prize to the winner.
